Synopsis
Plot
Still convinced that Kate has stolen some of her possessions, Ruth pays a visit to Jill. Ruth explains that she arrived home from her country break to find Kate and Joe in bathrobes, and that it was obvious that they had just had sex. Jill, however, thinks that Ruth is just being vindictive. Unfortunately, as Ruth drops the bombshell to Jill, Carol enters the pub to collect her wages. Never one to waste an opportunity for gossip, she races back to the flat to tell Lucy and Tony all about it. Both Carol and Lucy begin to piece together the times that they have seen Kate and Joe together and think that the rumour is convincing, whilst Tony is not so sure.
Kate tells Joe that she is tired of having to explain herself to people, and feels that the only option open to her is to move away. Joe asks Kate if she would want him if they had met without knowing that they were related. When she say 'yes', Joe suggests that they leave together to start a new life where no-one knows their past.
Cindy tells Sean that they have run out of nappies. Sean tells her to make them last longer and that he can't just magic money out of thin air. Desperate to make ends meet, Cindy takes a leaf out of Holly's book and shoplifts a pack of nappies - but she is caught on camera! The shopkeeper allows Cindy to call Sean before calling the police. Sean manages to sweet-talk him into letting Cindy go in return for painting the shop. Sean is furious and tells Cindy that if it was such an emergency then she should have used Holly's money to pay for the goods. He goes on to say that he has been working his fingers to the bone to raise the money for a deposit on a flat, and that everything's been ruined because he will now have to spend his time working for free.Cast
