Synopsis
Plot
Finn emerges at the yard worse for wear and with his shirt on inside out. Geri sees him in a state of undress as he rectifies the situation, and indicates that she would like to see much more! So, when Sam asks Geri to mind the shop while he goes to the library, she soon uses it to her advantage. It's not long before she has Finn giving her a palm reading, and as the flirting reaches fever pitch it is only Lewis's intervention that prevents it from going any further.
When Lewis turns up at Ruth's flat she is furious that she had been unable to get hold of him last night when she really needed him. However, she finally begins to open up to him about how her grief for Kurt and the threat of Rob is really affecting her. To make her feel more secure, Lewis offers to move in to the flat on a temporary basis, and Ruth agrees at once. He then cheers her up by telling her that he has spent his poker winnings on a short country break for them both.
Sam is pleased by Nikki's return and they start to look very friendly until Nikki's mobile rings - it's Dan. Later on they start to question each other about their respective fiancés. Nikki changes the subject while Sam isn't giving much away, but it is clear that they still have feelings for each other.
It's Kate's 21st birthday, and despite warnings that she won't like it, Jill decides to throw a surprise birthday party. Moreover, she decides to invite Dave without consulting Jack first, and so sparks begin to fly. At the party, Kate and Joe decide that they must sort things out once and for all, and so agree to make use of the time while Ruth is away to do it. Later, when Ruth tells Gina that she is giving her a permanent position on the college paper. Gina is delighted, but when she hugs Darren in the excitement of the moment, he takes it too far - and won't take no for an answer.Cast
