Synopsis
Plot
Carol feels neglected by Finn - he says that he is too tired for nookie, and must put what strength he has left into the market. Lucy jokes that she should try to pump him full of energy. Carol seizes the opportunity and rushes round to the shop to buy a bag full of goodies, all of which are high in glucose. Upon being presented with the energy-rich package, however, Finn acts grateful but has the aura of a man with nowhere to hide.
Gina decides that she would like to work on the college newspaper, and approaches Ruth with caution given her their history together. Fortunately, Ruth believes that Gina is genuine and would not abuse the position, so agrees to give her a trial. Then, Ruth remembers that she was meant to meet Lewis for lunch at Deva, so leaves Gina in charge.
Ruth arrives at Deva three-quarters of an hour late for her date with Lewis. He feels let down that she's seems to care more about the newspaper than him - especially when she indicates that she just wants to eat and run! The conversation becomes heated, and Lewis finishes by saying that he now knows how Kurt used to feel. Ruth is incensed by his insensitivity and leaves immediately. Later, Lewis returns to the flat to find Ruth in tears. She is clutching Kurt's wedding ring and some passport photographs of them together.
Meanwhile, Sol and Darren eventually face up to the fact that they need Darren in order to make a success of their car washing operation - if for no other reason than to win back The Dog in the Pond car park as suitable premises for their venture. Also, Mandy and Luke secretly set off for a couple of days in Prestatyn together, where she has a photo shoot.Cast
