Synopsis
Plot
Tony can't believe it when Helen asks him to work for her at the shop, and decides to use the job offer to haggle with Mr. Morgan over his position and salary at Deva. Tony tells Mr. Morgan that he is being head-hunted by a local enterprise. However, Mr. Morgan plays it cool and says that if he can get a better offer, Tony should take it. When Mr. Morgan sees Helen she starts to apologise for trying to poach his staff and Mr. Morgan puts two and two together. Tony tells Helen that he'll take the job, but she tells him she has realised her error and apologised to Mr. Morgan! Tony realises that Mr. M knew all along and has to return to Deva with his tail between his legs.
Kate calls into the pub on her way into college and tells her mum that she's under a lot of pressure at work over the meningitis scare. Mrs. O is worried about Kate and Gina going in to college, but Kate insists that Nikki was an isolated case.
Gina and Emily have set up a petition desk at the college and are busy collecting signatures. Gina, however, doesn't feel very well. Kate appears and notices that Gina doesn't look well but Gina insists that she's okay. Kate has no time to stop and has to get back to her work. Later at the Dog, Gina looks as white as a sheet and has a bad headache. Emily thinks it could be meningitis. Kate comes home and is also very concerned. Mrs. O realises that Kate knew Gina wasn't feeling well earlier and is angry with Kate - why didn't she do something earlier? What if there's an epidemic?!Cast
