Episode 353 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Monday 27th September 1999.

Synopsis

Kate puts yet another page of Carol's diary up in the local phone box. Fortunately, Ruth recognises a mark on the paper as being that of the college photocopier, and suggests that Kate is the most likely suspect. Carol agrees, but when confronted Kate blames Ruth, and says that it is just another ploy to get at her. She then proceeds to put yet another page on public display - on the college noticeboard.

Ruth takes pity upon Carol and offers to help by searching Kate's desk at the college for the missing diary. However, Kate catches her in the act and it's not long before they're arguing about Kurt. Kate says that they ended up together because he needed a real woman, and gets a slap in the face accordingly. She storms out in tears just as Carol turns up for another confrontation, and confesses all!

Meanwhile, Lewis is desperate to beat Rob to the next move. He suggests that Ruth should ask her dad for help from his friends in the police force, but she doesn't want anyone else to get involved. Then he decides that he should warn Beth what she's getting herself into and tries to find out where Rob's hiding. Unfortunately, Beth has already been brainwashed by Rob and tells Lewis that she will call the police if he ever comes near her again.

Sol and Paul are finding it hard getting work as self-employed car washers. Darren offers his management services, but Paul says that he would rather spend the day knocking on doors than listen to him. However, after a fruitless day he concedes, and Darren suggests that they use the pub as a means of finding customers. But when Darren tries to take a massive cut of the earnings he ends up very wet and his management services are dispensed with.
