Synopsis[]

The Osbornes gets searching for Charlie upon discovering he's run away, exposing the fragility of the family. Dennis sees the New Year in with Leanne. Tony makes the rules clear to Cindy.

Plot[]

Dennis invites Leanne out into town for New Year, but she isn't interested, so he offers to stay in and keep her company, but she's happy to be on her own. Tom tells Nancy he can't find Esther or Charlie. Barney, Dennis and Rob head to the SU Bar, but it's lacking in customers and women. Nancy finds a note from Charlie and realises he's ran away. Tony lays down the rules for his flat and delightfully announces he won't be paying Holly's school fees anymore. Esther and Ruby return from the cinema to learn of what's happened.

Maxine and Mitzeee run the Dog whilst the Osbornes search for Charlie. When a bored Leanne texts Dennis, he leaves the SU Bar and the lads early. Esther's hurt that Ruby didn't have her back. Tom vents to Callum about Charlie losing his football, prompting Callum to ask the young lad where the ball went missing. Seamus joins in the search for Charlie. Callum tells Darren where the ball went missing and he, Darren, Nancy and Seamus search the woods. Seamus finds Charlie, who's taken to hospital. Cindy and Tony hurl petty insults at one another. Leanne feels as though she pushes people away; Dennis reassures her that she doesn't push him away. Charlie's alright but is being kept in for observation.

Jack insists Seamus is to have a drink on him. Leanne kisses Dennis. Esther apologises to Nancy and Frankie. Mitzeee notices that something's up with Esther. Instead of seeing in the New Year with Darren, Nancy decides to go and check on Oscar. Mitzeee gives Esther words of encouragement. The clock strikes midnight and 2013 is seen in with partying and cheering. Leanne moves Dennis's hand when he touches her bottom as they're kissing. Jack reads to Charlie, sat at his bedside. Frankie tears a strip off Nancy for prioritising Oscar over Charlie, but manages to offend Esther when Esther overhears Frankie calling Charlie her "only grandchild". When Nancy advises Frankie to mind her own business, she earns herself a slap.
