Synopsis
Just as her luck with Tony starts to look up, Jacqui learns a devastating truth. Doctor Browning deliberately shows Myra the wrong x-ray scans and suggests a sinister diagnosis may be on the horizon. Carmel calls social services over Jesus.Plot
Tony's spent the night with Jacqui at 26 Leigh Road. Nancy wants Darren to open up to her. Phoebe realises that Tony knew about Cindy's affair with Rhys and encourages him to tell Jacqui before she finds out from someone else. Nancy opens up to Frankie about how she isn't sure Darren wants Oscar. Jacqui seeks reassurance from Tony that he'd never lie to her. Upon bumping into her in the village, Mercedes reminds Carmel that keeping Jesus and delaying telling social services is wrong.
Ruby has some of Jono's ashes turned into a necklace. Whilst waiting with her at the hospital, John Paul admits to Myra that the baby is his and opens up about his broken down relationship with Craig. Frankie's attempt at helping Darren see sense over Oscar backfires. Holly's spiteful to Ruby over her necklace and earns herself a slap from Esther, who sticks up for Ruby. Doctor Browning purposefully shows Myra the incorrect x-ray scan and gets her booked in for an MRI. When Myra asks if she's dying, Doctor Browning offers no reassurance and suggests she gets her family around her.
Ruby turns on Esther when Holly's out of sight. Cindy shows up at 26 Leigh Road. Carmel reveals to John Paul and Myra that she's rang social services. Cindy hands Tony paperwork to sign everything over to her, revealing afterwards that Tony knew about her affair but kept quiet anyway. Darren returns home and opens up to Nancy about how he's realised that just because Oscar can't hear, he can still see, smell and taste the world around them. He's bought a sensory toy for his son and has even learnt to sign "that's my boy". Jacqui struggles to comprehend Cindy's bombshell news and, when asked by Phoebe if she wants Tony gone, she tells her in front of him that she wants him gone forever.Cast
