Synopsis
John Paul opens up to Nancy about his problems. Darren and Nancy are concerned when they realise that Oscar can't hear them. Jacqui refuses to let Cindy get off lightly.Plot
Jacqui's gone missing. Cindy's come round at the hospital but is in a lot of pain. Holly's returned to see her mother but when she finds out she's going to be alright, she just wants to go home, but Tony sends her to the McQueens house instead. Myra needs Tony to talk to Cindy and get her to keep her mouth shut. Darren and Nancy struggle as Oscar won't stop crying. Having accepted his proposal, Mercedes gets looking at party venues. Tony asks Cindy to tell the police that she had too much to drink and slipped on the ice.
Doctor Browning's surprised to see Myra at the hospital. She fills him on what's happened and he rings Mercedes afterwards. Frankie's thrilled to see John Paul. Cindy wakes in the hospital to find Jacqui stood over her bedside. Jacqui grabs Cindy and is adamant she's coming with her. John Paul tells Nancy that his baby was left outside 26 Leigh Road yesterday. Mercedes tries supporting Myra at the hospital but Myra turns her back on her daughter. John Paul opens up to Nancy about how he and Craig hired a woman to be their surrogate but then broke up before the baby was born. At Rhys's graveside, Jacqui forces a terrified Cindy to tell her everything.
Nancy encourages John Paul to talk to Craig and the surrogate to work out what's best for the baby, and tell Myra and Frankie what's going on too. A tearful Cindy stumbles back into the village and is offended when Tony asks her if Jacqui's alright. Tony reminds Cindy that she's in the wrong before realising she isn't even sorry. Nancy's concerned when Darren shatters a vase around a sleeping Oscar, who doesn't wake up to the loud noise. Doctor Browning tells Myra he wants to see her at the hospital tomorrow when he questions her on her health and is concerned by her answers. Tony finds Jacqui outside the police station and stops her from going to the police before kissing her.Cast
