Synopsis
Esther causes a scene at Jono, Maddie and Neil's memorial service. Jacqui receives support from an unlikely source. Brendan leaves the village for a new life in Dublin.Plot
A leasehold sign appears above the deli. Doug jibes at Ste over Brendan. Frankie supports Ruby on the day of Jono, Maddie and Neil's memorial service. Cindy offers to help Jacqui out with the final bits for Rhys's funeral. George and Tilly support Esther. Cindy tells Jacqui she won't be attending Rhys's funeral tomorrow. Bart delivers a heartfelt speech about Neil.
Ste visits Brendan and tells him he'll stay if he wants him to. When Brendan doesn't react, Ste kisses him. Brendan punches Ste and sends him on his way. Jacqui wishes Cindy could attend the funeral to help with the smooth running of it. Ruby gives her eulogy for Jono. Ste refuses to tell Cheryl how he sustained his injuries. George, Tilly and Elizabeth give a speech for Maddie. Cheryl attacks Brendan, realising that it was him who hit Ste. Esther explodes after the service and makes her feelings about Maddie crystal clear, upsetting everybody at the venue.
Tony suggests to Cindy they both attend the funeral and move on afterwards. Brendan opens up to Cheryl about why he hit Ste. She notices his bags are packed; he reveals he's moving to Dublin to start over. Ste apologises to Doug for everything and tells him he was scared about leaving everything behind, but he's now willing to move out to America. Ruby's livid when Esther reveals that Jono kissed Maddie and calls her a liar. Frankie's furious with Esther and insists she apologises to everybody before tomorrow. Brendan gets into a taxi and leaves the village.Cast
