Synopsis
The McQueens unite as Mercedes's trial begins. Sinead has her university interview. Mitzeee has a big decision to make.Plot
Mercedes considers telling the court the truth but Jim reminds her of the severity of her sentence should she be found guilty. Bart doesn't want to go to court. Sinead has a university interview for veterinary science. Mitzeee's short-tempered with Maxine. The McQueens arrive at court and the trial begins. Sinead vomits in the toilets before her interview. Brendan takes Mitzeee in at Chez Chez and puts the fire in her belly to help see her through the trial. George offers to hang out with Bart to cheer him up. Phoebe takes to the stand and is faced with tough questioning.
Sinead is interviewed and overjoyed when she's told by the interviewer that she'll receive a conditional offer for the course. When asked if there's anything that could affect her application, Sinead fails to disclose her pregnancy. Phoebe tells the court she'd class Mercedes as a good mother, but some awkward wording to another question results in further interrogation. Sinead overhears Bart gushing about her to George. Jim paints Riley in a bad light to help Mercedes, but Mercedes struggles with what she hears and attempts to interrupt court.
Bart reassures Sinead that he loves her and their baby. He's convinced she's going to have a girl. Jim stresses to Myra that he needs to get Mercedes on board if she's going to avoid a jail sentence. Diane's chuffed to learn that Sinead's been offered a place at university. Sinead makes a secret appointment for an abortion. Myra asks Mitzeee to lie in court tomorrow, promising that she'll keep Mercedes away from her for good if she's freed. Having overheard their conversation, Brendan questions Mitzeee on what she intends to do. Mitzeee vows to make sure that Mercedes burns in hell.Cast
