Synopsis
Ruby is horrified when Jono takes a sudden turn and dies in her arms. Sinead is dealt a shock in hospital - she is pregnant! Jacqui struggles to cope in the aftermath of Rhys's death, whilst Brendan tries to comfort Doug as Ste lays critically injured.Plot
A doleful Jacqui is tended to by Carmel and Myra. Diane rushes to her daughter's bedside. Jono blames himself for Neil and Maddie's deaths. Jack comforts him. Phoebe finds the letter that Rhys left Jacqui under her pillow and realises he was going to leave her. At the hospital, George blames Bart for the crash, until Cheryl reveals to him that the brakes were faulty and no one could have prevented the crash.
Brendan heads to the hospital upon learning of Ste's injuries. Jacqui breaks the news of Rhys's death to Phoebe. Sinead and Diane are gobsmacked when the doctor tells Sinead that she's pregnant. Jacqui isn't sure what she's going to tell Rhys's parents. Brendan supports Doug as he wails outside Ste's room. Jono needs time alone and heads outside. Darren holds Maddie responsible for Rhys's death, learning afterwards that she's also died. Sinead doesn't want to be pregnant. Ruby joins Jono by the pond and Jono reassures her they'll get through the day's events together.
Bart visits Sinead in hospital and she questions him on why he vanished after the crash. She can't face being around him and sends him on his way. Ste's monitors ring out and CPR is performed on him. Ruby tells Jono a story of the stars as they lay by the pond. Jacqui finds Rhys's belongings in a bag in their bedroom and breaks down. Ruby screams out for Jack and Frankie when Jono dies in her arms.Cast
