Synopsis
Mitzeee starts to have second thoughts about rejecting Maxine. Brendan turns to faith to try to deal with his problems. Callum is left surprised by Martha's honesty, and decides to give her a chance.Plot
Callum watches Martha eye up the alcohol at Price Slice. Mitzeee ignores Maxine's banging on the door of 26 Leigh Road. Father Des reads out a prayer to Brendan. Callum avoids small talk with Martha. Myra lets Maxine in to see Mitzeee. Mitzeee's angry with Maxine for robbing her fiancé. Father Des wants Brendan to be less cryptic if he's to help him. Brendan tells Father Des that what he's running away from is inside of him and isn't going anywhere. Father Des tells Brendan of Daisy, an ill seven-year-old who he prays for. He offers to let Brendan meet the young girl.
Callum attends an AA meeting and opens up to the others about how his mother's choices have impacted him. Martha hears her son's speech from outside. Mitzeee tells Maxine she never told anyone she has a sister because she's dead to her. Myra meets Father Des at the church, unaware that Brendan's nearby. She opens up about how she's skint and fears she's going to have to sin again, also telling him about Joel's arrest, which Brendan overhears. Maxine tells Mitzeee she misses her and suggests they go for a drink to clear the air. Callum's surprised to see Martha at the meeting; she admits she followed him to it. When the group reconvenes, Martha asks the leader if she can talk. Brendan is unwelcoming upon meeting Daisy.
Martha's given her chance to talk. She uses her speech as an opportunity to tell Callum that she's trying to change. Daisy questions Brendan over why he's staying with Father Des. A courier drops Maxine's belongings which she's had shipped over to herself. Maxine tells Mitzeee that she's split up with Gary and asks if she can stay with her. When Father Des acknowledges that Daisy's father is absent, Brendan tells him that his father was pure evil; he thinks he's cut from the same cloth but Father Des reassures him that's untrue. Myra allows Maxine to stay at 26 Leigh Road. Maxine pulls a wad of euro notes from her jacket pocket when alone. Brendan posts a wad of cash through the door of 26 Leigh Road for Myra.Cast
