Synopsis
Ste is horrified by the return of his mother. Brendan loses control when Cheryl forces him to face his problems. Ruby starts to feel guilty as Maddie and Sinead continue to play games with Esther through her supposed online friend. Myra is concerned when Jacqui seeks a solicior.Plot
Ste's speechless when he answers the door to his mother. Rhys has spent the night on the sofa of 26 Leigh Road. Doug reveals he invited Pauline over. Ste isn't interested in seeing Pauline and wants her gone. Ruby's saddened to learn that Jono's joining the Army. Phoebe helps Esther put up posters for her peer support campaign. Pauline asks Doug for alcohol to calm her nerves and he provides her with it. Maddie tells Jono that Ruby's upset and he should talk to her. Ste tells Doug about how Pauline once wished she'd never had him.
Tony ignores Cindy to focus on wedding planning. Rhys doesn't appreciate Myra asking questions about what's going on between him and Jacqui. Pauline realises her son is gay. Maddie calls Esther out for covering her posters whilst she's campaigning and then humiliates her in front of her audience. Pauline gets nasty with Ste, feeling like her son has nothing but hatred for her. At their second counselling session, Brendan struggles when the counsellor wants to talk about his and Cheryl's father again and ends up sweeping her desk clean of its items as his anger boils. Esther's posters have moustaches drawn onto them.
Brendan apologises to Cheryl for losing his temper. Cheryl tells Brendan he has to face his demons. Ruby admits to Jono she misses him and they end up kissing, which Maddie and Sinead witness. They agree to give things another go, but Jono remains set on joining the Army. A mortified Myra catches Rhys kissing Cindy in the alleyway. Ste's unhappy to see Pauline at the deli and throws her out. Esther returns home to find Maddie, Ruby and Sinead planning a Halloween party. Brendan visits Father Des. Maddie and Sinead are revealed to be Esther's online "friend" and arrange to meet her. At the deli, Ste ends up losing his temper with Doug and shoves him to the ground in a fit of rage.Cast
