Synopsis
Neil and Bart struggle to convince Jono not to join the Army. Jacqui is stunned as Rhys makes a shocking declaration, whilst Brendan finds himself unwelcome at Riley's memorial in The Dog in the Pond.Plot
Riley's memorial is at 1pm. Cheryl's in a good mood after yesterday's counselling and offers to help Tony with wedding planning. Cindy and Rhys have slept together again. Doug surprises Ste with engraved engagement rings. Esther overhears Sinead boasting about Maddie's presentation to Year 12. Doug and Ste meet with Darren, Rhys, Tony, Dodger and Ally to play a game of football in Riley's honour.
After Jono's announcement yesterday about joining the Army, Bart's determined to change his mind and has a plan. Ste lunges for Ally when wound up by him during drinks for Riley at the SU Bar. Doug asks Ste to make up with Ally for Riley. Rhys ends up leaving Riley's memorial football match in a huff. At the Dog, Brendan receives an unwelcome reception from the lads. Rhys feels completely ignored by Jacqui upon returning to 26 Leigh Road from the football match. Brendan pays for a round of drinks for the lads at Riley's memorial.
Ste's the only one who appreciates Brendan's gesture and leaves when the lads start to gang up on him. Once Ste's gone, the lads turn their attention to Brendan and things get heated. Cheryl shows up and intervenes. Bart ends up getting high before he can convince Jono not to join the Army. Doug returns to a half-cut Ste, who's feeling sorry for himself as he doesn't have any family left in the village. Rhys tells Jacqui he wants a separation. Cheryl moves back in with Brendan. Doug makes a phone call to a contact in Ste's phone, telling them that Ste needs their help.Cast
