Synopsis
Jono leaves his friends stunned when he reveals that he wants to join the army. Darren is wary as Tom finds excuses to hang out with Texas and Dodger. Ste is determined to prove his commitment to Doug, whilst Esther's online friend encourages her to stand up to Maddie.Plot
Neil's considering joining the Army. Tom's being secretive around Darren and is wearing aftershave; Darren wonders if he has a girlfriend. The counsellor invites Brendan and Cheryl into her office and their session gets underway. Tom lets himself into Dodger and Texas' flat, having broken his toy for Oscar. The counsellor wants to talk about Lynsey. Jono joins Neil on an Army recruitment day.
Dodger realises Tom fancies Texas and gives him a gentle talking to. Once he's gotten rid of Tom, Dodger tells Texas he thinks he's close to finding out who his biological father is. After a conversation about Lynsey's funeral, the counsellor turns her attention to Brendan and his upbringing. Ste's glad to hear that Doug's parents have been good to him and wants to do something in the village for Riley. Cheryl recalls her and Brendan's younger years.
Esther vents to her online friend about Ruby and her obsession with Maddie. As Cheryl recalls how she was daddy's little girl, Brendan has flashbacks to his last conversation with Nana Flo. When the counsellor turns her attention to Brendan and his relationship with his father, Brendan can only tell her that their father made him the man he is today. Esther goes into competition with Maddie over the peer support programme.Cast
