Synopsis

The day of Lynsey's funeral arrives, where tensions run high between Eoghan and Brendan. Jacqui clocks Rhys's wandering eye, and Darren's mouth gets him into trouble.

Plot

Friends and family gather in the village for Lynsey's funeral. Cindy and Rhys can't understand how her necklace has come back into her possession. Frankie sits with Oscar so that Darren and Nancy can attend Lynsey's funeral. Cindy wants Rhys to find out what Jacqui knows about their affair. The hearse makes its way to the church with mourners following behind. Cheryl and Brendan have to walk the coffin in when Mr. Nolan is overcome with emotion.

Cindy asks Tony why he wanted her to wear her 'C' necklace; he says it reminds him of their previous sexual encounters. Darren's phone goes off during Lynsey's service. Cheryl gives a touching eulogy. Nancy walks out whilst Cheryl's giving her speech as she's too worried about Oscar. Tony sets up the buffet at Chez Chez for the wake. He pushes Cindy away when she tries to seduce him just before the mourners arrive, so Cindy eyes up Rhys. Jacqui admits to Rhys what Joel and Theresa did when asked by him about Cindy's necklace.

Cheryl softens on Brendan following the funeral. The women sing Total Eclipse of the Heart in memory of Lynsey. Darren makes a sleazy remark about Lynsey. Brendan overhears and fights Darren. Rhys tries to break the fight up but is hit in the face. A furious Cheryl tells Brendan in front of everyone just how ashamed of him she is. Jacqui briefly tends to Rhys but doesn't give him much sympathy. Once she's gone, Cindy shows up and offers to check him over. Eoghan takes Brendan back to 2 Oakdale Drive. Cindy and Rhys have sex in the Chez Chez toilets. Cheryl and Ste walk in on Eoghan and Brendan kissing.
