Synopsis
Tony proposes to Cindy, but she rejects after telling him that she isn't pregnant. Esther is left mortified by Jack's punishment, whilst Rhys distances himself from Cindy.Plot
Darren wakes on a park bench. Rhys and Jacqui's flat is sodden thanks to a broken kitchen tap. Cindy's bra feels tight on her, convincing Tony even more that she's pregnant. Jacqui tells Rhys that Cindy's pregnant. Esther figures that Ruby dressed her up the same as Maddie on purpose. Sinead cries to George and almost tells him that she slept with someone, but refrains. Darren tells Tony he's divorcing Nancy, and then learns from Esther that Nancy collapsed last night from a blood clot. Darren rushes to the hospital to see Nancy, but she doesn't want to see him.
Rhys is stressed about Cindy being pregnant. Nancy lets Darren see her but they end up bickering, which a nurse interrupts to invite them to see Oscar. Bart meets Sinead at the folly and apologises for not picking her up yesterday. He wants to hear all about the party. Jack overhears Jen talking to Esther about taking the day off sick and decides he'll be walking Esther to and from college from now on. Tony dresses up all smart and has flowers and a bottle of champagne on him.
Sinead considers coming clean to Bart, but doesn't when she realises he's high. Instead, she tells him she's applied to universities in Newcastle and Edinburgh and ends their relationship. At College Coffee, Tony hands Cindy the flowers and then proposes. Darren and Nancy soften on one another as they stand over their son. Darren expresses his love for Nancy, not wanting their family to fall apart; he promises to be a better man for her and Oscar. Cindy's taken aback by Tony's proposal, and is shocked when he talks about her being pregnant. When he admits he only proposed because he thought they were having a baby, she storms off.Cast
