Synopsis
Myra is horrified when she realises that Mercedes lied over the stabbing. Joel's mother begs him to keep the abuse from his step-father secret. Ash finds that she is unable to pay the rent, whilst Jacqui and Frankie decide to get Phoebe and Esther to study together.Plot
Jacqui and Riley comfort Mercedes. Mercedes heads to the toilets where Nancy calls her a lying bitch. Myra walks into the toilets and gets rid of Nancy, before asking her daughter if she wants to tell her anything. Marie reassures Joel she's in Hollyoaks for a fresh start. Ally and Ash get a moment alone together. Noticing that Marie is in pain, Theresa checks in on her to make sure she's alright. Marie opens up to Theresa but asks her not to say anything to Joel.
Ash doesn't know what to do when Darren asks for their latest rent instalment. Myra asks Mercedes if she's sent an innocent woman to jail. Nancy hopes to get Mitzeee an appeal. Myra's questioning irritates Mercedes, so Mercedes attempts to play mind games with her mother. Jacqui and Frankie make arrangements for Esther and Phoebe to study together. Mercedes swears on Bobby's life that she didn't stab Mitzeee, but Myra still doesn't believe her, so Mercedes comes clean admits she stabbed herself. Joel's proud of Marie for walking away from Mick. Theresa tells Joel she noticed Marie in pain.
Ally offers to move in to 65 Christleton Terrace to help Ash pay the rent. Joel asks Marie about Mick hurting her but she reassures him she's fine. He's stunned when Mick then shows up. Riley has dinner with a tense Myra and Mercedes. Mick tells Marie he's come to take her home; Joel's unsuccessful in talking his mother out of going back to her ex. Theresa catches up with Joel and discovers that it's his birthday. Mercedes warns Myra that if she dobs her in, she won't be allowed to see her grandson.Cast
