Synopsis
Texas is thrown into a downwards spiral. Ally manages to make a breakthrough with Carmel. George and Esther are intrigued to learn of an internship programme at Company magazine.Plot
Diane comes across Dodger and Texas and isn't convinced by Texas' claims that she heard Silas on the phone. Jacqui opens up to Ally about her problems with Carmel. D.I. Small questions Mercedes about her final hours with Lynsey. Esther and George both agree to apply for an internship programme at Company magazine. Texas drinks with Dodger at the Dog and ends up telling the punters that Silas is out. Michaela's unable to cheer Carmel up. Darren makes an insensitive comment to Dodger about Texas.
Diane tells D.I. Small about her encounter with Texas earlier. Ally visits Carmel and takes her to the hospital roof in a wheelchair. Up there, Carmel befriends Jimmy and Sam. The Savages let Texas stay with them on the boat. D.I. Small wants to question Carmel but Doctor Browning won't let her as she's "resting", so instead she asks Doctor Browning for Mercedes' records. He agrees to have them faxed over. Once alone, Doctor Browning destroys Mercedes' discharge form, as signed by him. Ally helps Carmel realise that, even though she doesn't want to face the public, she already has by meeting two new people.
Diane breaks the news to Esther after she and George have applied for the internship that she's too young. Jacqui fusses over Carmel when she returns to her room but Carmel wants space. Texas has a nightmare about Silas, Lynsey and India. Dodger wakes her as D.I. Small wants a word. Carmel's thankful to Ally for helping her and is going to tell the doctor she's ready to go home. D.I. Small apologises to Texas as it transpires he did ring her. Although he's still locked up, he's approached the investigation team over the murder and they believe he has valuable information. However, he's only willing to liaise with Texas, and if she chooses to see him, she must see him tomorrow...Cast
