Synopsis

It's the morning of the big wedding and Cindy walks in on her mum and dad in bed together. Angela is furious and accuses her ex-husband of trying to get 'one for the road' whilst Mr. Cunningham is livid with Max for allowing him to wander drunkenly into his ex-wife's bedroom after the stag night. To cap it all, both Max and Mr Cunningham have got mind-altering hangovers.

Mandy apologises to her mum for being such a pain over the wedding but Mrs. Richardson is too concerned that her bump is going to show to listen. Cindy goes over to the flat to help Mrs. Richardson with the final preparations, and she and Mandy call a truce for the sake of the wedding. Later, just as they are about to leave for the church, Ruth arrives in the hope of a final goodbye but Lewis's frosty farewell is cold comfort for her trip.

When Lewis later challenges Tony about his speech and the abuse he's been hurling at Gordon over the shop, Tony throws his words back at him. Tony says that at least he is speaking his mind whilst Lewis doesn't have the guts to tell Ruth how he feels. When Lewis goes back to the reception he makes a split decision and dashes to the airport to catch Ruth. Inside the terminal, he spots her at the check-in desk and catches up with her. He begs her to stay; he tells her that she is his chance and that she has always been the one. Ruth tells him that she's sorry but has to go.
