Synopsis
The McQueens are eager to forget about Myra's impending court case, and hope to celebrate Michaela's 21st birthday and the Diamond Jubilee. Mercedes is crushed when Lynsey and Riley's relationship is made public. Ste and Doug decide to make their relationship public. Bart returns from court with devastating news.Plot
It's both Michaela's 21st birthday and the day of Myra's court hearing. Myra snuggles in bed with Mercedes and advises her to start trusting the people who love her, including Lynsey. Jacqui asks Myra what time the family are going to support her in court but Myra tells her she's going alone. Mercedes moves the photos and magazine cuttings she has of Mitzeee to on top of her wardrobe, before giving Michaela one of her dresses which she knows she loves. Carmel, Jacqui and Mercedes decorate 26 Leigh Road for the Diamond Jubilee party. Myra hugs them before heading off to court. Bart catches up with Myra before she can get into the taxi and is insistent on going to court with her.
Lynsey arrives at 26 Leigh Road for the celebrations, while Doug and Ste deliver a Jubilee cake to the McQueens for their party. They also share the news they're now a couple. The cake is damaged by a box shortly after Doug and Ste leave and so Jacqui uses toothpaste to try and fix it up. Riley attends the McQueens with Bobby and takes him up to Mercedes' bedroom for a nap. He and Lynsey end up kissing in the bedroom. Mitzeee shows up at the McQueens to reclaim her keys from Riley. Mercedes heads upstairs to fetch Riley; the door handle jams before she can get into her bedroom, giving Lynsey and Riley time to break up their kiss. Jacqui invites Mitzeee to stay for a drink, which she does.
Michaela gets stuck in Mercedes' dress, so Mercedes helps her out of it. Carmel's warmed to see Mercedes trying, unlike Jacqui, who still has reservations about her sister. Mitzeee gets drunk and runs her mouth off to Lynsey, fed up of seeing her and Riley doting around one another. She's sent on her way but before she leaves she tells Mercedes that Lynsey's been sleeping with Riley. Mercedes tries to ignore Mitzeee's comments and gives a speech to her sisters on how she's going to change. Bart returns from court and reveals Myra's been imprisoned for six months. The McQueens go into meltdown. Mercedes watches Riley stroke Lynsey's shoulder and ends up smashing the champagne flute in her hands.Cast
