Synopsis
Texas and Leanne worry as they inadvertently continue to stress Doug. Ste is forced to hire an eager Barney when he struggles with the work load. Mercedes takes drastic action to forget about Silas. Esther is shocked when Maddie turns on her. The students are unimpressed when Will invites his family to move in.Plot
Mercedes phones someone asking if they fancy hooking up. Dr. Browning asks Lynsey about Mercedes. Doug asks Leanne not to tell anyone he's gay. Dirk's relieved that his family are alright. Barney receives a letter about his unpaid residence fee of £1090. Ed shows up at 26 Leigh Road with flowers for Carmel, but she rejects them. Leanne lets slip to Texas that Doug is gay. Ed hands Maddie a wad of cash in the hopes of making amends.
Leanne tells Doug that Texas knows. As Mercedes gets dressed up, she envisions Silas telling her he's going to kill her. Texas and Leanne's attempt at supporting Doug only distresses him further, so Texas asks the Savages to leave and then comforts Doug. Esther and Ruby hang out with Maddie and Tilly. Esther annoys Maddie with a comment on how Tilly doesn't eat meat when Maddie orders a pepperoni pizza. Doug ignores Ste's plea on a voicemail for help at the deli to go on a night out with Leanne and Texas, so Ste hires Barney to help ease the workload.
Will ends up taking his homeless family in at halls of residence. Doug refuses to go out when Leanne asks the taxi driver to take them to a gay bar. As he flees the taxi he comes face-to-face with an irritated Ste, who doesn't say a word. Scott and Annalise's moment of intimacy is disturbed by the Savages moving in. Carmel apologises to Maddie, which Esther overhears. When Esther tries to break down Maddie's barriers, she only irks the schoolgirl more and ends up being isolated from a trip to town. Cheryl invites Ste out to roller disco after sensing he's upset. Mercedes meets with Dr. Browning and they have sex.Cast
