Synopsis
Doug and Ste's meeting at the bank leaves them disappointed. Dodger finds comfort in Texas. Brendan makes Doug a tempting offer.Plot
Ste dresses up for a meeting with the bank manager. Dodger spoils Dirk on his birthday. Ste feels sick and wants Amy to phone Doug and say he's unwell, but Amy refuses to. Frankie gets Ruby to take Nancy out for a few hours. Brendan offers Doug and Ste money to get their business started, but Ste firmly rejects it. Will can't take much more of Dodger's bossiness over Dirk's family birthday party. Darren's quick to leave College Coffee when he realises Nancy's there.
Dirk's pleased to see his family at the SU Bar, but Will's nowhere to be seen. Ste and Doug have their meeting with the bank manager. Ste's nerves get the better of him and he ends up waffling. Frankie sets up a lunch for Darren and Nancy at the flat. Brendan tells Joel he likes him and thinks they could do some good things together. Dodger calls Will selfish when he shows up late to the party and then prioritises Ash. He storms off when Dirk lets the boys do what they want. Doug and Ste are unsuccessful at the bank. An upset Dodger turns to Texas for comfort.
Nancy tells Darren her appointment at a clinic was for a tattoo removal. Their meal ends in tears as they bicker, although Nancy does end up in Darren's arms. Dodger tells Texas he always makes a big fuss of Dirk on his birthday because it was on Dirk's birthday that his mother walked out on Dirk. Tony considers putting an offer down on Cincerity. Dodger gets tearful as he declares his hatred for his mother for what she did to Dirk. Texas ignores a call from Jodie to look after Dodger and lets him stay the night. After finding out they were rejected from the bank, Brendan reminds Doug he'll lend him and Ste the money to set up their business, with Ste never needing to know.Cast
