Synopsis
Nancy and Darren struggle after the miscarriage. Callum is forced to tell George the truth about Martha's alcoholism. Jacqui's wedding ring goes missing, and Phoebe's the prime suspect.Plot
A tearful Nancy lies in bed. Lacey's quick to take the post when it arrives. Martha's hungover but puts her reasons for drinking down to Ash's hospitalisation. Nancy gets to work, Darren thinks Nancy needs to rest but she refuses to listen to him. Jacqui makes sandwiches for her and Phoebe. George tells his mother he's hanging around for a few more days. Lacey tells George she's been expelled from school. George encourages Lacey to tell Martha when the time's right. Jacqui takes her wedding ring off at the Dog and leaves it behind the bar.
Martha makes an excuse to go home. Unaware of what's happened, Mitzeee shows up at the Dog with Bobby to update Darren and Nancy on the nursery. Darren tells Mitzeee that Nancy lost the baby. Martha turns back to alcohol. Callum admits to George that Martha doesn't cope under pressure and he's worried about her. George offers to go and check in on her. Jacqui can't find her wedding ring and accuses Phoebe of nicking it, but Jack finds it and returns it to Jacqui, who's left embarrassed. Nancy rejects comfort from Mitzeee. Jacqui apologises to Phoebe and invites her over for tea, allowing her to see Terry as well.
Barney's let go from his cleaning job. Nancy turns on Darren as her emotional state gets the better of her, leaving him in tears. Ash is being brought out of her coma. Callum presses George on what's up with Lacey, so George tells him that she's been expelled from school but is going to come clean to Martha. Callum thinks it's a bad idea and admits to George that Martha hits the bottle when bad things happen. Jacqui gives Phoebe the opportunity to drop by and see Terry more often. George gets Lacey to promise him she won't say anything to Martha yet. Darren trashes the Dog before being cradled in Jack's arms as he breaks down.Cast
