Synopsis
Mercedes faces the possibility of losing her family for good. Ste and Doug's first day of trading ends disastrously. Texas is told by Cheryl to follow her heart.Plot
Texas discovers she's failed a module. An enraged Jacqui confronts Mercedes and begins dishing out some home truths. Amy asks Michaela to look after Leah and Lucas, while Theresa asks her to look after Kathleen-Angel as well. Doug and Ste decide to relocate outside Chez Chez in the hopes of selling more food. Mercedes uses Jacqui's rape ordeal against her. Myra walks in and hears what Mercedes is saying and, disgusted, insists Mercedes packs her bags and leaves.
Carmel hands Mercedes some money so that she can find somewhere to stay for a few nights. Myra tells Mercedes she makes it difficult to be loved sometimes. Mercedes breaks down as she talks about Malachy. Myra comforts her daughter but Carmel sees through Mercedes's tears and accuses her of putting an act on. Texas cryptically confides in Cheryl about her personal troubles. Cheryl tells Texas to follow her heart. Carmel sits Mercedes down and tears a strip out of her for stealing Calvin from her. Mercedes gets on her knees and begs for Carmel's forgiveness, although she doesn't get it.
Texas gets drunk and flirts with Jodie at the SU Bar before falling over. The flames on Ste and Doug's cooker go out, so Doug pours some brandy on it to get it going again, but the brandy causes the flames to grow uncontrollably and roar. Dodger and Jodie take Texas back to hers. Cheryl puts the fire out. Jacqui insists that Mercedes has to go. Mercedes agrees with what's been said about her from family members and then admits a few weeks ago she was willing to prostitute herself. Carmel and Myra are willing to stand by Mercedes when she tells them she wants to change, but Jacqui isn't happy with their decision and storms off.Cast
