Synopsis
Jenny descends into a world of partying and late nights as Gareth jets off on their honeymoon. Ben and Lisa are given some unexpected help as they search for jobs. Alex is furious as Nathan dumps a high-profile custody case on Ally at the last minute.Plot
Continuing to suffer guilt over her abortive wedding, Jenny drowns her sorrows in alcohol and continual partying. This riles Ben and Lisa, who begrudge her constantly waking them up in the early hours with her alcohol-fuelled antics.
At the Lodge, Ally struggles to cope when Nathan delegates a case to her at the last minute. This irritates Alex, who dislikes witnessing his sister at Nathan's beck and call. His mood worsens, however, when he realises that he is missing a limousine driver on his busiest day of the year: the Chester Races. An unemployed Ben readily steps into the breach and dons a chauffeur's suit for the day.
Worried about Jenny's state of mind, Alex heads off to her apartment to lift her spirits. Ben witnesses the couple sharing an intimate moment, which couldn't help fuel his suspicions about their relationship.
The day unfolds and Ben battles through his roster of appointments as stand-in driver. Taking note of a race tip from a punter, he opts to place a bet on a horse. His behaviour is further called into question when he somehow ends up minus his trousers when a female client has an accident with some champagne.
Elsewhere, Luke entertains his own women problems, feeling irked by his girlfriend's lecture about commitment. Ben's horse crosses the line first, but his winning slip is in his missing trousers.
Lisa and Jenny discuss the nature of the relationship between Alex and Ally. Later, Lisa is thrilled when Alex offers her a job in his limo office. A dejected Ben joined her, minus both trousers and winnings. Luke receives short shrift from his own girlfriend, but everyone toasts a fun day and end up back at the apartment eating home made bread.Cast
