Hollyoaks in the City Episode 2 is a special spin-off episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Monday 21st August 2006.
Synopsis
Burton pressures Kay for the money she owes him. Lisa, Kay and Polly go for a night out. Kay is mugged and she and Ben bump into each other. Meanwhile, Debbie tries to get her gay friend Josh to have sex with her.Plot
Ben has flashbacks to having sex with Kay. He wakes up and looks at Lisa. Tank Top steals Connie's milk, and he notices. He drinks it, but spits it out. Connie shouts that next time, he will spike the milk with more than just dog urine. Adam bursts out laughing. Kay tells Polly that she did not get any money from Ben as he lost £5,000. Lisa forgives Ben for leaving her on her own. He tells her that he lost the money to Robbie's scam. Kay and Debbie bicker when Debbie calls her a whore. Tank Top is furious over Connie. Debbie and Polly lay flowers at the mother's grave. Lisa arrives at the photoshoot and has her make-up applied by a make-up artiste. She later poses on a sofa, staring at a photo of Ben, as the photographer takes photos. The make-up artiste tells Ben that Lisa looks stunning, to which he agrees. Precious thinks Lisa is going to be a star. Debbie approaches Precious, she wants to model for Gloss.Troy informs Polly that Burton has an acting job lined up for him. Polly is horrified to find Debbie applying for a job. Polly and Debbie end up fighting, and Polly slaps Debbie who runs off. Tank Top asks Burton if he has any jobs for Ben. Burton needs a new bouncer as he has discovered that one of them has been accepting bribes and allowing dealers into the bar. Ben doesn't want to be a bouncer, but Tank Top tries to change his mind. Burton has sent Polly a bouquet to apologise. Lisa meets Kay and Polly. Kay warns Lisa to never trust Burton. Lisa accepts Kay and Polly's offer of accompanying them to a bar opening. Ben tells Tank Top about what happened with Kay. Tank Top realises that Ben has been date-raped by Kay. Tank Top says that it wasn't Ben's fault, but advises him to forget that it ever happened. Ben is fine with Lisa going out, but she isn't completely convinced.
Kay tries to comfort Debbie. She advises Debbie not to grow up too fast. She recalls a time when she slept with a man for sex, but enjoyed his company. Precious thinks that Burton would have interviewed Debbie even if he knew that she was Polly's sister. She is cold towards him, rejecting his offer of a drink. Burton flirts with Troy, and they soon start kissing. Kay, Polly and Lisa make their way to the new club, skipping the queue. Polly and Kay take cocaine in the bathroom. Lisa initially rejects, but they convince her to snort cocaine with them. Debbie invites her friend, Josh, over. Tank Top takes Ben and Adam to a bar. Burton invites Troy out to a club, but he declines. Burton pays Troy for sleeping with him. Josh arrives at the flat. Adam reveals that Tank Top got his nickname from a top that his Nan knit for him, which he wore often.
Josh comforts Debbie when she tells him that it's the anniversary of her mother's death. Polly and Kay dance together at the club. Kay ends up dancing with another man, whilst Polly dances with Lisa. Lisa also ends up dancing with the man. Debbie is surprised to learn that Josh is gay. She wants to have sex with him, but he thinks that she has only invited him over to ask questions. Debbie tries to change Josh's mind and he relents, they kiss. He says that he can't sleep with her, he can only be her friend. Kay is confronted with a knife by Thommo. He threatens to slit her neck if she screams. He demands her bag, but she refuses. He punches her and steals her bag. Lisa notices Ben walking past and screams for help, she tells him what happened. Adam and Ben try to comfort Kay. They recognise each other, and Polly also recognises Ben. Kay flirtatiously teases Tank Top. Ben confronts Kay. She tells him that they slept together, but she spiked his drink. She promises to keep quiet, and advises him to do the same. Kay bumps into Burton in the club and they bicker. He says that he thinks she has reached her sell by date, and fires her. She promises to do anything he says. He says that he made her, and can break her just as easily. Adam introduces himself to Burton. Ben and Lisa decide to leave. Kay flags down a taxi. She rejects a lift from Lisa. She downplays what happened with Burton to Lisa, and tells her to back out of modelling whilst she can. Kay gets in the taxi.
