Synopsis
Jake finds himself in danger when he discovers Caroline's secret. Amy meets Olly, promoting the law degree at the HCC open day, and agrees to a date. Carmel tells Mercedes about Calvin's secret about Warren.Plot
Johnny is collected by his father and Caroline is pleased to spend some time with only Jake. Site work begins on the sewage plant on Leigh Road and Myra admits defeat. Amy attends the HCC open day. Carmel keeps her distance from Calvin, and Mercedes fears that she suspects their affair. Olly Larkin accidentally throws a chocolate bar at Amy whilst advertising the HCC law degree. He asks her out for a coffee. Caroline and Jake sleep together.
Carmel confides in Mercedes. She reveals that Calvin left Warren to die in The Loft fire. Michaela has Zak take pictures of herself with Leah and Lucas to try to garner sympathy in ‘'The Chester Herald. Jake is impressed when Caroline remembers that his favourite food is spaghetti bolognese. Calvin tells Carmel about Sasha. She's apologetic but concerned about how little she trusts him. Amy gives Olly her details for the course.
Calvin and Mercedes argue. Calvin says that she means nothing to him. In the caravan alone, Jake finds his phone in a locked cupboard, a folder of newspaper cuttings about him, and the necklace he fought with Mark over. He realises that Caroline pushed Mark down the stairs. Mercedes tells Sasha that Calvin left Warren to die. Sasha attacks her. Caroline finds the necklace in Jake's coat pocket. She admits to pushing Mark down the stairs for her behaviour towards Jake. Jake tries to leave so Caroline smashes a vase over his head.Cast
