Synopsis
Gaz's attacker makes their identity known. Mercedes makes a decision regarding Malachy's job in Canada. Leila tells a heartbroken Elliot that she has slept with someone else.Plot
Newt closes the blinds in Gaz's hospital room.
- Two hours and forty minutes earlier:
Newt reads an old poem. Anita remembers kissing Newt. Newt rejects her call and spits out his medication. Cheryl tries as Malachy gets his belongings together to move to Canada. Mercedes backs out of going at the last minute. Archie admits that he's been using Leila to "wake up" Elliot.
- Present day:
Newt reads his poem to Gaz about ‘a boy who kills people by telling them his secret'. He whispers in Gaz's ear, and Gaz begins seizing.
- Earlier:
Mercedes admits that she doesn't want a baby. Malachy leaves for Canada alone. Anita gets upset when Lauren thinks Ricky attacked Gaz. Anita reveals that she put peanuts in Gaz's drink due to his allergy but backed out. Newt leaves Theresa a cryptic call. Cheryl makes Mercedes see that she's been selfish over Malachy. Ste breaks into the McQueens' and puts their belongings back.
Mercedes runs after Malachy. Elliot forgives Leila but she doesn't want to get back together. Malachy stops Mercedes from getting into a taxi. He decides not to go to Canada. Newt and his friends revisit the site where Gaz was attacked. Ricky tells the teens that Lauren and Ste are the culprits, but Newt finds Anita's grandmother's necklace and she confesses.
- Several days earlier:
Gaz chases Anita through the forest. He pins her to the ground and tries to rape her, but she grabs a rock and hits him over the head.
