Synopsis

Hannah's Halloween Ball goes disastrously wrong. Newt is surprised when his mum arrives to see him as arranged, and tells Frankie that he wants to stay with her. Rhys manages to wangle himself a date with a beautiful girl – Amber.

Plot

Cindy is eager to attend Jack and Darren's hearing with Frankie. Leila and Justin aren't pleased to be paired to decorate the SU Bar for Halloween. Cindy starts to get on Frankie's nerves and leaves Holly with Newt. Rhys flirts with a woman, Amber, in Drive 'n' Buy. He lies about his identity to her and arranges a date. Shelley Newton arrives at The Dog in the Pond. She's excited to be reacquainted with Newt and he leaves Holly alone.

The SU Bar has a powercut. Amber arrives late and reveals she's realised that she remembers him from his affair with Beth. Newt introduces Frankie to Shelley. Sarah takes scissors to Hannah's dress in a jealous rage over Elliot. Jack and Darren have pleaded guilty and received a 20-month sentence. Newt wants to move in with Shelley.
