Synopsis
Ben and Lisa discover that the course of true love never runs smooth, Jenny's dream wedding turns into a nightmare when she discovers an incriminating photo, and Alex and Ally cause a stir as their relationship appears a little too intimate.Plot
Ben and Lisa's new life away from Hollyoaks begins with a decidedly rude awakening, when both are disturbed in their improvised apartment by a couple of unscrupulous builders. After being chased through the half-finished building, the pair seek refuge in Ally's flat, only to discover she has another houseguest - Nathan, her some time boyfriend and a particularly unpleasant character. Ben and Lisa take an instant dislike to him, and are only to happy to offer Ally a lift back to Lodge, where she finds herself at the receiving end of more barbed remarks from her brother Alex. Their relationship leaves Ben and Lisa wondering whether there is more to the brother and sister duo than meets the eye.
Just then a tearful bride, Jenny, sweeps into the Lodge still sporting her wedding dress. It transpires she was on the verge of tying the knot with her long-term boyfriend Gareth, before she suddenly jilted him at the altar after finding an incriminating photo of him on his stag night. She escaped the church courtesy of Alex and his limousine.
In order to avoid the wedding party, the group decide to relocate to the apartment, with a bemused Ben and Lisa in tow. Ally suggests the pair move in permanently, something that Lisa isn't so sure about.
Matt and Luke promptly arrive from the ruins of the wedding, with the rest of the party hot on their heels. Another chase ensues, ending up on a river cruise boat and a somewhat unconventional wedding breakfast.
Once the novelty of the cruise wore off, Jenny decides she wanted to see her wedding after all and hence they all headed over to the deserted marquee, where the enormity of her actions hit home. Finally everybody finds their way to a local bar, before retiring to the apartment. Ben takes the opportunity to ask Ally the truth behind her relationship with Alex. She promptly explains that the two of them did indeed once sleep together.
Ben and Lisa are left wondering just who exactly are these folk they'd just moved in with.
