Synopsis

Tom is scared as Clare insists they make the most of this Christmas... it could be Max's last! Max discovers that Clare has been fiddling with his medication, but is he too late to save himself and Tom? And John Paul lets slip to Craig that he has feelings for someone, Craig is furious when he figures out who it is, Max's plans are thwarted when he hears Clare scream, Tom is drowning in the lake! Max musters every last bit of energy and throws himself into the icy water after Tom. Sarah and John Paul get into the Christmas spirit. It's the final straw for Craig, who snaps, leaving John Paul floored.

No episodes were aired on 25th or 26th December, instead two episodes were transmitted on 27th December 2006.
This episode formed part of the Hollyoaks: 20 Years Young All4 boxset released on 5th October 2015 to celebrate twenty years of Hollyoaks. Episode 1938 (27th December 2006) was advertised in the press release, but this episode was released instead.
