Episode 1898 is an episode of Hollyoaks which aired on Tuesday 31st October 2006.

Synopsis

Ste flees the scene following the crash, leaving an unconscious Amy and his injured friends. Josh and Fletch are arrested on the scene, and Michaela is arrested at the hospital. Craig prepares to ask out Sarah, but she is interrupted by a call from Mike. Nancy continues to get along famously with Willow, and cannot understand Foz's embarrassment.

Plot

Everyone awakens from the crash, except for Amy. Sarah smells Craig's jacket. Mike scares Myra with a halloween mask on. Michaela, Josh and Ste argue. Ste checks that Amy is still breathing and decides that they need to flee the scene. John Paul doesn't understand why Craig won't just ask Sarah out. Nancy is surprised to learn that Foz's name is actually his birth name, and not a nickname. He was brought up in Portugal, but never met his father. He also lived in a women's peace camp. Willow is annoyed when Foz says that he is not interested in her latest campaign. Fletch says that they can't just leave Amy. Michaela can't get the door open. Ste refuses to let her call an ambulance and pushes her to the ground, causing her to injure her elbow. He tells Josh, Fletch and Michaela if that they are going to stay, they better keep his role in the crash quiet. Fletch tries to make Ste stay, but Ste flees.

Nancy tells Willow of her surprise about Foz's life. The police and an ambulance crew arrive on the scene. Fletch is furious when Josh worries about talking to the police. Michaela tells the paramedics what has happened. Josh is uncomfortable as Fletch tells a policewoman everything he knows about Ste. Nancy loves Willow, and can't understand why Foz is embarrassed by her. Nancy receives a call from Becca. The policewoman arrests Fletch and Josh on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. A policeman informs Mike of Amy's hospitalisation. He drops a container of laundry powder in shock. John Paul and Craig help Sarah with her English assignment. John Paul jokes about the house potentially being haunted by the ghost of Sam Owen. Sarah's phone rings and John Paul screams, scaring Sarah and Craig. She rejects the call from Mike. Mike tries to call the landline, but Sarah ignores it.

Myra is upset with Michaela, but is relieved that she is OK. She realises that Michaela got in the car to please Ste. Mike and Kathy are horrified to see Amy hooked up to several machines with a breathing tube. Nancy vents to Willow and Foz about nobody believing Becca. Mike and Kathy are shocked by the amount of tests that the hospitals want to run. Suzanne takes Amy for a CT scan. Josh and Fletch pace around in the cells. Kathy and Suzanne struggle to believe that the students were joyriding. Michaela worries when she sees that Amy is not in the room. Kathy blames Michaela, and Michaela explodes at Kathy before running off. Michaela informs Suzanne that Josh was in the car, he is uninjured but has been arrested.

Willow has the idea of making a campaign and starting a petition. Willow tells Foz that she has met someone and wants Foz to meet him. Sarah and Craig awkwardly flirt before kissing. Sarah receives another call from Mike, she is horrified to learn of Amy's hospitalisation. She wants Craig to come with her. Michaela is arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. Nancy is touched to see how much Willow has taken a liking to her. A doctor informs Mike and Kathy that Amy has sustained a brain injury which has caused swelling, and the next 24 hours will be critical. The doctor asks if Mike and Kathy know any relevant information about Amy they should share. The doctor tells Suzanne, out of earshot of Kathy and Mike, that they obviously do not know about Amy's pregnancy. Suzanne is shocked to learn that Amy is around 21 weeks pregnant.
