Synopsis

Becca is reeling from Justin's proposal. How's she going to get out of this one? With Tom ill, Max has to stay at home, which frustrates Clare. It's obvious Max's preoccupation with a poorly Tom is making it harder for Clare to get what she wants. Kris decides to face his fear and go out for a drink. Zak, Will and Jessica accompany him to the SU Bar for moral support. Tina and Dominic look forward to a quiet afternoon in, but Jacqui and two bottles of cheap plonk have other ideas - she wants some more of Tony and nothing he can say or do will alter her intentions.

Plot

Becca is shocked by Justin's proposal. Kris puts his clothes in a bin bag. Tony sits on the bed, staring into the distance. Clare accidentally breaks one of Tom's toys. Jess is annoyed that Kris is refusing to go to the police. Becca isn't sure about getting engaged to Justin. Tina is impressed by Tony's flat. Becca confronts Justin over attacking Kris and having to beg him not to press charges. She demands that he apologises face-to-face to Kris. Tom feels unwell and Clare is furious that she is having to work on her own. Becca makes Nancy promise not to tell Foz. Nancy thinks that Becca doesn't want to be with Justin anymore. She worries that she will never see Foz as he will be working and studying history of art.

Clare promotes The Loft at the SU Bar. Kris is angry when Zak and Will suggest dressing up in drag. Kris calls them pathetic as they are not supporting him, they are trying to "get one over" on Justin. Justin bumps into Kris and Justin tries to apologise. Kris thinks that Justin only wants to make sure that he'll keep quiet. Tina and Dom are awkward as Jacqui and Tony drink and enjoy each other's company. Kris is annoyed when Jess tries to convince him to press charges. Tony tells Tina and Jacqui when he was arrested. Jacqui leads him to the bedroom. Justin is annoyed to learn that Nancy knows about Kris. Tina and Dom are uncomfortable as Jacqui and Tony get loud. Tony changes his mind about sleeping with Jacqui.

Clare says that she is working hard at The Loft, but Max is doing nothing. Kris recalls how his mum once found his sister's clothes under his bed. He says that his dad could never understand. He thinks that he should hide his true self. Jess tries to convince him otherwise, which causes an argument between them. Clare thinks they are sacrificing their lives for Tom, leaving Max furious. She ends up trying to take back her words. Clare continues to think that Tom is faking his illness, until he vomits over her. Kris has changed his mind because of Jess's words. He is amused to learn that Zak and Will were serious about dressing up in drag. Justin pleads for Becca to accept his proposal. She reluctantly agrees.
