Synopsis
Max and Clare attempt to cover their tracks when they receive a visit from the trading standards officer. Sonny continues to give Craig a hard time, but Craig finds a friend in John Paul. Sam has a close encounter with Warren, whilst Zoe decides to forgive Joe.Plot
Sophie continues to feel like she is being watched. She worries when she finds Evissa already unlocked. Clare tries to get rid of the vodka bottles without Max seeing. Sophie finds Warren in his office. Sonny notices Craig, and ignores Justin's advice to leave him alone. Zak has discovered that his collapse was caused by methanol poisoning from the cheap vodka. Zoe snaps at Joe. Sophie is cold towards Warren. He is quick to introduce himself to Mercedes and is left smitten by her. Max informs Clare that Zak had collapsed from poisoning and that trading standards are paying a visit. He catches a nervous Clare trying to get rid of the bottles. John Paul recognises Craig, thinking that he should have left school. Sonny interrupts their conversation and proceeds to taunt Craig.
Sophie and Mercedes are cold towards each other. She speaks highly of Warren to Mercedes. Sophie almost catches Sam watching them. Max explodes at Clare. She begs him to let her get rid of the evidence and he reluctantly agrees. Andrew Gardner of trading standards arrives. Warren flirts with Mercedes and she accepts his invite to lunch at Il Gnosh. Olivia accepts Jessica's offer of a night out. Zak realises that Jess is trying to keep Olivia away from Kris. He also realises that Joe has feelings for Zoe. Russ reluctantly grants Sophie's wish of going to Il Gnosh. Sonny continues to make Craig's life a misery. He thinks John Paul is a weirdo, Nicole advises him to give John Paul a chance first. Clare tells the trading standards officer that she heard that the group were at the SU Bar, The Dog in the Pond and also purchased alcohol from Drive 'n' Buy before arriving at The Loft.
Andrew informs the pair that he will test the alcohol behind the bar and get back to them. He warns them that the ones responsible for the dodgy alcohol could face a custodial sentence. Joe tries to apologise and Zoe agrees to "hold fire". Sophie tests to see if Russ is still in love with Mercedes. With Sophie distracted, Sam sneaks into Evissa and hides in the back room. John Paul notices Sonny following Craig inside. Sonny gets violent towards Craig. They are interrupted by Justin and the fire alarm going off. Max is disgusted by Clare's behaviour. Sam prepares to strike, but is interrupted by Warren. Sam arms himself with a paperweight and hides in the office. John Paul reveals that he set off the fire alarm to protect him from Sonny. Craig is grateful. Jessica feigns an illness to get out of going out with Olivia and Kris. Zoe forgives Joe, but will not be any more than friends with him. Warren narrowly avoids getting attacked by Sam. He manages to escape from Evissa without being caught.Cast
