Synopsis
Craig's attempts to convince the vicar to allow the double wedding result in Frankie accidentally making him think that she has not long to live. Ben and Lisa reconcile after she has a change of heart. Mandy stresses over the baby's health. Darlene finds herself able to open up to Craig.Plot
Ben asks Lisa to open the door. Darlene watches Richard. Darren is grossed out by Jack kissing Frankie. Mandy feels stressed about possibly missing the doctor's appointment so Tony tries to calm her. Mandy is furious when she learns that Tony has not left the travellers alone and is studying various eviction leaflets from the council, especially after how Rory saved her from the burglar. Tony says that the business is suffering, they need to put themselves first. Lisa thinks that Ben cares about his friends more than he cares about her. Darren is shocked to learn that Jack and Frankie are engaged. He is even more shocked that the wedding is on the 22nd. Jack asks Darren to be his best man, Darren thinks Jack is making a huge mistake.
Richard tries to get the truth out of Ali, but he refuses to say anything. Jake vents to Craig about Becca going to stay with her parents, leaving Jake to sort the mess out. Jake says that he is not going to get the vicar to marry Jack and Frankie at short notice. Max asks Mandy about refurbishing the shop, she says that they can't afford to. Callum is unsupportive when Ben reveals that he has had an argument with Lisa. They are interrupted by the fire bell. Jack reveals that the proposal was accidental. Craig approaches the vicar, wanting to talk to him. The vicar tells Craig that double weddings go against the church's policies, and they are only done in exceptional circumstances. Craig tries to guilt the vicar, but he thinks that Frankie hasn't got long left to live. Craig goes along with it.
The fire crew walk into a riot. They are forced to avoid bricks, bottles and molotovs. Callum is hit with a brick and they are all forced to retreat. Craig visits Darlene. Ali tries to talk Richard out of calling the police. Frankie unknowingly continues to make the vicar think that she is dying. He tells her that they only do double weddings in exceptional circumstances, and Frankie has only recently been divorced. However, her words make him reconsider. Darlene is furious when Richard leaves to meet with a colleague, suggesting that he doesn't care enough about Ali's problems. Mandy has been informed that she has high blood pressure and needs to take it easy. She worries that she may have done something wrong, but Tony assures her that she was just unlucky. She worries that there may be something more serious.
Ben vents to Callum, he is sick of the lack of respect by people, despite saving lives for a living. Darlene tells Craig that Richard is having an affair. Tony and Mandy lie to Max about the hospital visit. Mandy shoots down Max's refurbishment plans. Darlene opens up to Craig, she tells him that Richard is a serial cheat. She points out that he never thought Johnno could cheat on Frankie. Darlene doesn't know what to do about Richard. Ben and Lisa put things right, she changes her mind and says that Ben should be Jake's best man. The vicar informs Frankie that the bishop has allowed for a double wedding. The vicar tells Jake about Frankie's "terminal illness", and Jake goes along with it. After the vicar leaves, Jake reveals that Craig spoke to the vicar, and the vicar thinks Frankie is dying.
