Synopsis
Mandy welcomes Tony home from his night in the cells, unaware he's been brawling not with Rory but with his younger brother. Becca's wedding fantasy is no expense spared; Frankie's reality is £287.76. Bombhead is pleased to receive a belated birthday card from Lee, but he's careful not to show the Hunters, not wanting to draw attention to the fact they've forgotten his birthday. Mel is petrified when she's called in for her STI test results.Plot
Tony arrives home after a night in the cells. Mel is asked to come into the STD clinic at midday. Mandy wants to have words with Nicole and Rory but Tony stops her. Craig takes an optimistic outlook when Frankie worries about how she'll finance Becca and Jake's wedding reception. Les and Sally realise that they've forgotten Bombhead's birthday when Lee leaves a voice message on the landline. Darren takes Craig for another driving lesson. Tony contemplates purchasing The Loft from Scott to get rid of the travellers.
Mandy eyes up Tony's car after a conversation with Craig and Darren. Mandy is annoyed when Tony is unsupportive about her will to drive. Mel receives the all-clear and shocks Sophie by suggesting they go out for a drink to celebrate. Les worries that Bombhead's party may be too childish. Liz finds a bill addressed to Mel for nearly £4,000, which needed to be paid last Tuesday. She confiscates Mel's credit cards and slaps her when Mel tries to snatch them back.
Jake can't get a memorial tree for Bombhead's mother and Tony would rather drive to the garden centre with his dodgy eye than let Mandy behind the wheel. Sophie finds Mel in The Dog in the Pond. Liz soon follows and makes Frankie bar her. Bombhead is pleased with his last-minute belated birthday celebration. Craig is taking his driving test on Wednesday. Becca is annoyed when Frankie uninvites Jake's relatives on Johnno's side of the family. Bombhead is touched when he is given the tree. Il Gnosh's employees close early due to a lack of customers and Tony fears for the future of the business.Cast
