Synopsis
Tom overhears Max wonder about what to do with him and, believing that he is no longer wanted, packs his things into a Pepe Poodle bag and runs away from home. Jake tries to put things right with Becca, but she rejects him. Les makes things right with Lisa. Darlene feels guilty when Justin and Ali play an April Fools joke on Tony.Plot
Lisa sits at the table and puts her head in her hands. Becca notices Jake walking down the stairs of Oakdale Drive, he watches as she walks off. Tony looks at the finance section of the newspaper. Bombhead tries to scare Lee by pretending to cut his finger off. Lee tells Bombhead that he overheard his family arguing about Lisa having an STI. Jake visits Ben in hospital. Ben makes Jake talk about Becca. Mandy is worried about Tom. Max starts an argument with Tony about the fire. Tony leaves and Max promises to apologise later. Max is still beating himself up of the fire. Justin, Darlene and Ali prepare to work for Tony as their punishment for throwing food around the restaurant. Bombhead tries to comfort Lee to no avail. He thinks Lisa abused her freedom and Lee is being punished as a result.Lisa visits Ben. He warns her that Jake is here, but he wants to see her. Lisa tells Ben about Ellie's disappearance. Lisa and Jake make amends. Ben points out that Becca has seen them through the window. Becca walks off and Jake goes after her. She doesn't believe either of them when they try to tell her that they aren't at the hospital together, it's just coincidence. Max asks Tom about the nightmares that he was having. Max says that he will protect Tom. Tom says that Max left him in the house on his own. Max says that he didn't, and Ben knew what to do as he is a fireman. Mandy reveals that social services is sending someone to see them all later.
Tony makes the trio clean the entire restaurants. Tony reads a letter saying that there is a problem with the sewage pipes located under the ground outside Gnosh Village. Justin assumes that they can leave, but Tony says that he has other work for them to do. Jake and Becca have an argument and Ben leaves. Darlene thinks they should Tony tell the truth about the letter but Ali doesn't want to have to move all of Tony's equipment back inside. Lee and Bombhead speak to Lisa. They have an argument about Lisa's STI. Tom ovehears Max and Mandy discussing the fire. Max says that the fire is an accident and is annoyed about social services having to get involved. Lee wants Lisa to come home, and Lisa explodes at him. Lee makes a comment about Lisa's self-harming and Bombhead makes him apologise. Les arrives to see what all the arguing is about.
Max considers putting Tom in a home due to the severity of Tom's actions. Tom is upset to overhear this. Tony is annoyed at how the sewage issue could cost him thousands of pounds in rescheduling the builders, storaging the furniture and cancelling gigs. Darlene feels guilty and wants to tell him, but Ali and Justin are unsympathetic. Becca and Jake are worried about where Ben has gone. Becca reveals that she is leaving to stay with her parents. Becca doesn't think she can get past the affair and storms off. Lisa vents to Les. He says that he will start to listen more. He wants Lisa to return home, but she doesn't want to.
Darlene tries to comfort an upset Tony. His venting makes Justin and Ali start to feel guilty. Lee is surprised to see that Lisa going back home. She says that she is doing it for Les as Les has supported her unlike Lee. Tom packs a bag and sneaks out of the house, unnoticed by Max and Mandy. Tony realises that the letter is a prank as the farm where the sewage problem supposedly originates is named "Loop Lirpa" - "April Fool" backwards.
