Synopsis
Jambo makes a shocking discovery about his parents. Kurt and Ruth struggle to settle into married life. Tony and Julie disagree over wedding plans, and Cindy wonders if she can tell her mother about her pregnancy.Plot
Jambo isn't pleased to see Janice admiring a bunch of flowers from "loverboy". Cindy reads through a pregnancy book. Jambo sneaks through the window as Kurt and Ruth sleep. Jude is annoyed as Angela nags her. Kurt tells Mrs. Benson that she needs to stop coming into the bedroom without asking or knocking. She says that in that case, he can clean it himself. Carol is still annoyed with Lucy for standing her up, but cheers up when she tells her that Bazz heard from Matt. Mrs. Benson makes Kurt do his own washing now that he is married and she has been banned from his room. Carol is surprised to learn that Bazz slept with Lucy.
Kurt brings Ruth breakfast in bed. He asks her to do his washing. Ruth says that she won't fill in the role of his mother. Julie and Tony discuss the wedding. Tony wants to get insurance in case something goes wrong, but Julie strongly disagrees. Kurt accidentally knocks Ruth's make-up onto her computer. She says that they need more space. Tony tells Jambo that he can't afford a stag night. Jambo and Kurt try to change his mind. Cindy questions Jude over her alcoholism. Carol tells Tony and Julie about the band being signed on by Matt.
Mrs. Benson is intrigued by the set-up of the radio station. She tells Ruth that when she married Mr. Benson, they lived in his mother's box room for six months. His mother made her feel like she was doing Mrs. Benson a favour by letting them stay; she does not want that for Kurt and Ruth and wants them to know that they are always welcome. Tony disagrees with the layout of the guest seating at the tables. Jambo and Kurt talk about his father's struggling marriage to Lisa. Carol tells Kurt that the band has signed a record deal. She taunts Kurt, saying that he wanted to be a pop star but Lucy has beat him to it. Angela is furious about Jude making a mess. Cindy wants to talk to her, but Angela shouts at Jude and storms off. Jude talking about the family problems makes Cindy change her mind about talking about the pregnancy. Ruth and Lucy tidy Kurt's bedroom and talk about Bazz. Ruth encourages Lucy to tell their parents about Bazz. Jambo returns home and is horrified to find his parents in bed together - his father is her "loverboy"!Cast
