Synopsis
The complex dividing up of Gordon and Helen's business properties, involving one-eighth of this and one-sixteenth of that, has sparked off a somewhat dizzying round of bickering - never mind challenging the village residents' grasp of SMP-vintage mathematics. With the arguments ping-ponging to and fro between Max and Cindy, Mandy has the added pressure of being nominally responsible for Tom's welfare. Her attempts to send an unsubtle SOS for help just fall on deaf ears amidst all the nagging and name-calling. Panicking, Max cannot believe that, rather than bring them closer together, the death of Mr and Mrs C is conspiring to drive him and his sisters further apart. Maybe it's time to pursue more of a DIY strategy, and take the initiative before things get too out of hand. But is it already too late?Plot
