Synopsis[]
Max and Mandy are dealt a cruel shock. Izzy wonders if she can cope with the idea of the new baby. Darlene pushes everyone to the limit, whilst Scott gives Darren an offer he can't reject.
Plot[]
Ben informs Izzy that the baby is a boy. Helen finds one of Gordon's shirts. Natalie looks at Lanzarote in a magazine. Darren startles her. Izzy tells Ben that she was worried about him. He does not want to talk as he is too worried about the baby. Helen has flashbacks to the crash. However, she is adamant on returning to normality as soon as possible. Ali and Darlene continue to clash with Justin. Bombhead manages to cheer Helen up. He tells her about people laying flowers outside of Drive 'n' Buy. Helen asks Bombhead to keep his eye on the dinner so she can have a rest.
Ben is annoyed as Izzy wants to talk about their relationship. Izzy confesses that she had an argument with Emma before she went into labour. Liz is furious to learn of Darlene's plan to split her and Richard up. Ben asks Izzy what she wants him to do. Bombhead puts a blanket over Helen. He prepares to tell Max of the defaced statue, but backs out. Scott rejects an annoyed Natalie. Helen's arm drops over the side of the sofa. Mandy re-adjusts her blanket, but realises that Helen isn't breathing.
Scott tells Darren about Izzy. A paramedic tells Max and Mandy that Helen has died. They and Bombhead burst into tears. Darlene overhears Liz on the phone and thinks that she and Richard are separating. Izzy starts an argument over Ben taking Emma some clothes. Max, Bombhead and Mandy are in shock. Max realises that they have to tell Tom that both of his parents are dead. Richard and Liz tell Darlene that they aren't splitting up, and Darlene will be punished.
Mandy tells Max that she is cursed - all of her family are dying. Scott offers Darren a job as manager of The Loft, which he accepts. Darlene feels guilty when she finds a distraught Bombhead cleaning the statue. Izzy admits to Ben that she feels pushed out. Ben tells her that he has no feelings for Emma, but can't turn his back on his son.
