Synopsis
Christmas hasn't brought any financial respite for the Deans, only more ledger-line lamentations. At the end her tether, Steph's resorted to a rather perilous plan... Her family seem to have spent most of 2003 counting the pennies, and Steph for one is sick of it. Aware that the New Year is approaching, with all its associate merriment and mirth, she decides to take the law into her own hands and ensure she sees in 2004 in suitable sartorial style. Needless to say the rest of the Deans are stunned when Steph magically produces a very expensive looking frock which she intends to model as the last few seconds of the year slip away. How can she possibly have afforded such a pricey investment? Of course in truth Steph has resorted to her familiar light-fingered ways. Thinking nothing of helping herself to a few choice garments from the January sales racks, Steph seems set on instigating a one-woman crime wave in Chester.Plot
