Synopsis
Deep in the middle of the night, a series of sudden violent crashes wakes a troubled Jack. Making his way downstairs, he prepares himself for the worst... A roving gang of thugs, a return visit from a local arsonist, even a passing traveller seeking shelter for the night - all these possibilities flash through Jack's mind as he steels himself to confront the mystery intruder. But of course it turns out to be nothing of the sort. A familiar face peers out of the gloom - yup, it's Darren Osborne. The commotion attracts a similarly perplexed Izzy and Natalie, neither of whom seem to have a clue as to their visitor's identity. As for Jack, his pleasure at seeing his son again after three years is tempered by confusion as to just why he's returned to his erstwhile stamping ground after previously being so keen to leave. It's far too late for any serious discussion about the circumstances behind Darren's re-appearance. Those sorts of questions can wait till the morning... although the residents of The Dog are definitely not in for a restful night's sleep.Plot
