Synopsis
The time allocated for running scripts has expired.
Plot
Jake packs his belongings. Adam opens the letter from the film school, and learns that his application has been accepted. Chloe refuses to tell Matt who the celebrity guests are for the ball are. Ben winds up Izzy. Ben gives Chloe the safety report and leaves. Chloe wants Izzy to make the first move on Ben. Max refuses to go to the ball, to O.B.'s annoyance. Chloe invites Ben to the ball and tells Izzy that she has set them up. Mandy asks Tony to accompany her to the ball. She says that she was going to ask Max, but she does not think that it's inappropriate as Max has fallen in love with her. Adam is unable to tell Becca the truth. Jake plans to set up the allotment as a place to get away from the family. Steph has some pains in her head, but plays them down.
O.B. overhears Mandy and Becca and thinks that she plans to ask Max. Tony recognises Darius, but doesn't believe him when he says that he is actually Darius. Tony is stunned to overhear Chloe confirms that he is Darius and starts hassling him, so Chloe throws him out. Chloe, Izzy, Becca and Mandy celebrate as they prepare for the ball. Izzy tells Chloe of her intention to tell Ben. Max decides to wait for Mandy at the ball, unaware Tony is picking her up. Max is furious when Mandy arrives at the ball with Tony. Steph worries that she will be seen as unattractive after the attack. Becca is impressed by Jamelia's performance. Mandy outrightly tells Max that they won't be anything more than siblings.
Izzy flirts with Ben. Ben subtly tells Izzy of his feelings for her. Their kiss is interrupted by a photographer who wants to take a photo of Izzy with her dress. Matt is impressed by Chloe's hard work. Ben is annoyed when Izzy takes more of an interest in the reporter over him. A woman comes over and offers Ben a beer. Tony winds up Max. Max and O.B. move a porta-loo, which they think has Tony inside - only to learn that Matt and Chloe were inside and Tony was in the other bathroom. Jake tells them off. Ben tells Izzy of his annoyance, Izzy tries to apologise to Ben but he ignores her. Steph points out that she and Craig aren't "trying to kill each other". Craig says that there is no point trying as she has 9 lives - Steph corrects him and says 8. Steph goes to lie down. Adam is still unable to tell Becca about the application. Izzy cries on Chloe's shoulder. Chloe is furious when Tony jumps on the stage to present the award. Everyone boos Tony. Max decides to sabotage Tony's speech, leading to cheers from the crowd. Jake finds them sabotaging the power system and throws them out.
Chloe introduces Darius, to everyone's delight. Darius presents the award to Adam. He reveals Adam's film school success, leaving Becca furious. He then performs "Girl in the Moon". The reporter overhears Tony talking about the cake and Tony cannot resist selling his talents to her. Becca is upset over Adam not telling the truth, and runs off. Izzy tells Ben that she is considering leaving to go travelling. She subtly hints that she would stay for him, but he refuses to ask her to stay for him. Max notices rainwater collecting on the roof of the tent and decides to puncture a hole to ruin the cake. Max climbs on top of scaffolding with a metal pole. Lightning strikes the metal pole, electrocuting Max and causing him to fall through the roof of the tent. Tony moves the cake just as the roof rips and Mandy is soaked with water. The pole falls, nearly hitting Max in the head. Steph watches Craig playing his game. The flashing lights cause her to suffer a seizure and Craig screams for Debbie.Cast
