Synopsis
The last few weeks have seen the emotional merry-go-round that is Toby and Ellie's relationship veer from the serene to the stormy on an almost hourly basis. Now, with the sudden return of Toby's mum Linda, the couple's private life once again looks set to become a very public and angry affair. Almost as soon as Linda walks in the front door she resumes her favourite sport: Ellie-baiting. As the insults start to fly Toby realises his desperate attempts to introduce a bit of domestic harmony into his violent world are doomed to failure. There's nothing to do but fight fire with fire, he reasons, and respond to Linda's over-the-top accusations with an even more melodramatic declaration. Seized with a sudden desire to show his mum just how much Ellie means to him, Toby shocks his girlfriend by suddenly popping the question. Ellie's taken aback by such an announcement coming out of the blue, but with Toby pressurising her for an answer, will it be case of so, she marries an axe murderer? Meanwhile Natalie is getting sick of Norman.Plot
