Mark "Dodger" Savage (né Blake) is the son of Anna Blake. He was raised believing that Dirk Savage - Anna's second husband - was his biological father until 2012 when he met Patrick Blake, ultimately learning that he had a twin sister Sienna. Through Anna, Dodger is the half-brother of Will and Liberty Savage. He also has two children: belated Nico Blake through Sienna, and Myra-Pocahontas Savage-McQueen through Theresa McQueen. He is also the grandfather of Victoria Blake. In August 2024, Patrick's twin brother Jeremy Blake was revealed to be Dodger and Sienna's biological father.
Biography[]
1986-2011: Early Life[]
Mark Blake was one of two children born on 5th December 1986 to Anna and Patrick Blake. In circa 1987, Anna fled from an abusive Patrick and soon met Dirk Savage, who Dodger grew up believing was his biological father. Dodger received his nickname at the age of three, through his inability to properly pronounce his cousin Roger's name. Through Anna's marriage to Dirk, Dodger gained two siblings: Will and Liberty. The family were abandoned by Anna in 1997, and Dirk was unable to track her down.
In 1999, Dodger met Sienna Blake whilst assisting Dirk at work at a fancy school. The pair slept together, unaware of each other's identities. Also unbeknownst to Dodger, Sienna fell pregnant following their one-night-stand and gave birth to a daughter, Sophie (later renamed Nico Blake) in February 2000.
2011-2012: Arrival, Relationships and Feuds[]
Dodger & his brother Will Savage arrive in the village for their sister's Liberty Savage engagement party. He then meets Liberty's fiancée Ethan Scott, however he later confronts Ethan with Will and then grabs him against the wall outside while Will & Ethan's friend Riley Costello try to break it up. Dodger claims he knows Ethan's ‘secret’ and tries to intimidate him. Ethan however, isn't scared of him and says he hasn't done anything wrong. Dodger then smiles as he gives Ethan a playful smack, revealing that it was all a trick to test Ethan's loyalty to see his sister.
His father Dirk Savage arrives in the village days later. When the Savage family were evicted from their home, they take shelter in the McQueen family residence. However, Myra McQueen comes home and orders them out. But she changes her mind after meeting the family & Dirk letting them stay there for a while. Dodger begins to show his cheeky ways by taking Myra's pet lamb and plan to have it slaughtered so he can sell their meat for money. Afterwards, he sets up a barbecue with the Lamb's meat after it can't be sold and serves it to everyone. Myra starts to eat but after realising it's her lamb, kicks out Dodger & his family and they stay at Dodger's caravan.
Dodger begins an open relationship with Texas Longford. She suggests they make the relationship more private but Dodger rejects this idea saying he enjoys it and it will be more suitable for their relationship. He becomes close with Amy Barnes after giving her driving lessons so she can get a job. After the sexual tension between the pair, they slept together.

- Dodger's birth date has been changed since his first appearance in April 2011:
- His year of birth was first mentioned to be circa 1989, as Anna Blake left the family when he was 7 and Liberty was 3, and Liberty was born in 1993.
- When it was revealed that Sienna and Dodger had a daughter together, it was also revealed that she was born in February 2000, Sienna and Dodger were thirteen years of age, meaning that they would be born in 1986.
- Dodger was portrayed by Freddie Phillips in flashback scenes airing in episode 4023/4024 (24th December 2014).
- Actor Danny Mac decided to leave the role of Dodger in October 2013. However, he remained on the show for over a year, and his departure was officially announced in November 2014.
