Biography[]
2004-2005: Arrival[]
Dannii arrived in Hollyoaks as a new student at Hollyoaks Community College, she was seen as wealthy, fashion student. Dannii arrived in the village in style when she was seen in a blackout window car with two heavies, her first interaction was with that of fellow fashion designer Joe Spencer and his friend, Robbie Flynn. Danni then moved into the flat above Drive 'n' Buy after befriending both Nick O'Connor and Kristian Hargreaves upon on her arrival Danni attracted the male attention of the villagers. Due to the way she arrived many of the students thought that Dannii's father was a gangster whom was connected to the Mafia however this was not the case as her father was nothing more than a wealthy Italian businessman. Dannii also bagged herself a job at the then new student bar, SU Bar.
2004-2005: Relationship with Russ Owen[]
Dannii quickly took a liking to Russ Owen and the two began dating and all seemed to be going well until Russ was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in June 2005 but Dannii was determined to prove to Russ that she is in love and will support him matter what she sticks by Russ' side throughout his ordeal and after the help of Dannii along with their close friend, Joe, the two reconciled and their relationship continued to go from strength to strength.
2005-2006: Rape Ordeal[]
By October 2005, Dannii was invited to the presidential party of Lee Hunter despite looking that Dannii is having a good time unknown to her that her drink has been spiked by shifty student, Andy Holt whom the proceeded to rape a blacked out Dannii not knowing what happened a freaked out Dannii later confronted Andy whom told her that they have slept together this was then overheard by Russ' brother, Sam Owen who Dannii pleaded with not to say anything to Russ.
Months after supposedly sleeping Dannii is panicked when she discovers that drink was spiked at a party a drink belonging to that of Louise Summers, Dannii then further more panics when Louise organises a campaign named "What's in your drink" this is seen by Louise herself whom then realises that Dannii herself has been attacked. Dannii is then supported by Louise throughout the ordeal.
Dannii furiously pulls over Andy and claims he raped her however Andy denies such a thing took place but Dannii is further heartbroken when her own husband, Russ believes what Andy tells him over her this results in the two of the getting a divorce as Russ has become good friends with Andy due to Andy being good friends with his brother, Sam.
Dannii then starts to become depressed and turns to suicide and attempts to jump off the roof of HCC, but is stopped by Louise. Whom has brought a further two of Andy's victims in twins Mel and Sophie Burton in an attempts to help Dannii to prove that she's not alone and can team up and take Andy down and after the three of them manage to talk Dannii out of committing suicide The four of them would then give their respective statements to the police, but Andy by then had fled Hollyoaks but unknown to Dannii, Andy was thought to have been killed by her ex-husband, Russ.
Dannii would then receive support by Mel and Sophie and they would grow close throughout the whole ordeal Dannii's other friend, Joe would also support her throughout it all and finally after a number of attempts to move on from her rape in Hollyoaks, by February 2006 Dannii decides the only way she can properly move on from the whole ordeal is too start a fresh away from Hollyoaks its self despite Russ' pleas for her to stay in Hollyoaks, Dannii stood firm with her decision to leave as she made her mind up and thought it was for the best in a last ditch effort for Dannii to stay, Russ asked Dannii to marry him again and also told Dannii that he had actually 'killed' Andy after he had actually confronted Andy over raping Dannii unknown that Andy actually in fact survived Russ' attack, Dannii plead with Russ to hand himself in and after a flood of tears and goodbyes, Dannii then jumped in the back of a taxi and left Hollyoaks to start a new life elsewhere in an attempt to move on from her rape ordeal from Andy.
2007: Brief Return[]
In June 2007, Dannii made a brief return to Hollyoaks days before Russ' wedding to Mercedes McQueen, Dannii told a shocked and surprised Russ that she returned after receiving a text from his number asking to reconcile. However the text was actually sent by Russ' friend, Darren Osborne. Dannii also gets a frosty encounter from Mercedes who threatens Dannii that Russ is hers and even going as far as pouring pasta on Dannii's head and after having a heart to heart with Russ, Dannii then departs Hollyoaks once more this time too move to Milan in order to work in a well known fashion house over there.
