
Coronation Street is a soap opera created by Tony Warren. The series has run since 9th December 1960 and is broadcast on ITV. Former Hollyoaks series producer Iain MacLeod presently serves as the series's series producer.
Weatherfield - the fictional city in which Coronation Street is set - exists in the same universe as Hollyoaks. In Episode 5715 (5th November 2021), Nate Denby mentioned Coronation Street character Maria Connor, who held a protest about air pollution which was publicised in the Weatherfield Gazette.
