Carla Chases is an English actress who played Melissa Hurst from June 2007 until the character's death from anorexia in September 2007 - making Melissa the first character in a soap opera to die from an eating disorder.
Carla has also appeared in several television and stage shows, including Spaghetti Arms, Scratch My Back, Fletcher Road, Truth in the Rumour, The Party, Nothing Personal and Jhoom Bhara Bara Jhoom.
