Caitlin Donnelly was a girl who Alex Bell met online. The pair regularly exchanged emails decided to visit her in Ireland to finally meet her in December 1999. However, Alex was horrified to discover that Caitlin had died and he had been exchanging emails with her parents since her death. Alex ended up meeting and beginning a relationship with Caitlin's sister, Sorcha Donnelly.
